January News
Welcome to the first SEND News. We hope that this will prove a useful place to find current news and updates for children with SEND.
Marks and Spencer are now using the sunflower lanyard system to support children with a hidden disability. The lanyard can be picked up at the order counter in any M and S store. This is designed as a discreet symbol that the wearer or someone in your party has a hidden disability and may require more assistance or time. Please visit https://www.marksandspencer.com/c/help/charities/what-is-a-sunflower-lanyard-and-how-can-i-get-one for more information.
Please visit https://www.norfolksendpartnershipiass.org.uk/news/newsletters/spring-3/ to download the latest newsletter from the Norfolk SEND Partnership.
The Norfolk Local Offer website is a great source of advice and information https://www.norfolk.gov.uk/children-and-families/send-local-offer
The Autism Anglia website is a good source of news and information for parents of children who have a diagnosis of ASD https://www.autism-anglia.org.uk/norfolk-support
https://www.justonenorfolk.nhs.uk/ is a brilliant website for health advice and support. There is a poster in the school entrance with all of the support services available for children and young people in Norfolk from parenting to health. Details can also be found by following @NorfolkCYP on social media.
Please be aware that this year we will be trialing cafes for some parents of children with SEN. The cafes will be an opportunity to come to school, share some refreshments and complete a craft activity. More details to follow.
For details of the provision we offer for SEND children at Mulbarton Primary School please take a minute to look at the SEN information report and our provision map on the SEND section of our website.
